The tour starts very early in the morning with a comfortable ride from your hotel to the train station (in Ollantaytambo or Poroy, depending on availability). After that, you’ll take a lovely train ride through lush valleys, towering mountains, and jungle landscapes that mark the entrance to the Andean jungle.
When you get to Aguas Calientes, the beautiful base town for Machu Picchu, you’ll get on a bus that will take you to the citadel’s entrance. - Pick up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 and 5:00 AM, then take you to the train station: Our tour bus will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo or Poroy, depending on the season and availability.
- The train leaves for Aguas Calientes at 6:10 AM: Take a comfortable and beautiful train ride (Expedition or Vistadome, your choice). You can see mountains, clear rivers, and ruins hidden in the high jungle along the way.
- 8:00 AM: Arrive in Aguas Calientes and check in: Our guide will be there to take you to the tourist bus that will take you to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
- 8:30 AM: The bus goes up to Machu Picchu: A 30-minute ride along a mountain road that offers stunning views of the Andes.
- 9:00 AM: A guided tour of Machu Picchu that lasts about two hours: Visit the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Intihuatana, and the agricultural terraces with a professional guide at the Inca citadel. - 11:30 AM: Free time in Machu Picchu: You can enjoy the site, take pictures that will last a lifetime, or just connect with the energy of the place.
- 1:30 PM—Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes: Get off the bus to see the town, buy souvenirs, or eat lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
- The train leaves for Cusco at 3:30 PM: Take the train back to the right station.
- 7:00–8:00 PM: Final transfer to your hotel in Cusco: Getting to the city and getting a private ride to your hotel. The end of our services.
